Job Overview:
The IT Officer, Business Solutions I position is integral to the World Bank Group's Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU). This role focuses on implementing and supporting modern cloud-based web applications that are crucial for the IDA Mobilization and IBRD Corporate Finance units. The officer will be responsible for maintaining the business applications systems landscape and coordinating ongoing capital project implementations using an Agile SAFe approach. The position requires a proactive mindset to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team while ensuring adherence to Agile practices. The IT Officer will specialize in the IDA business domain and cloud services, utilizing Microsoft and Azure technologies to develop robust solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support the organization's mission of alleviating poverty and promoting prosperity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Officer will report to the ITSFE team lead and will have a variety of responsibilities, including: supporting and maintaining cloud-based systems, implementing new IT solutions based on business requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to Agile practices, specializing in IDA business domain and cloud services, liaising with other IT teams for technology and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security requirements, building solutions on Azure, monitoring compliance with data governance initiatives, scaling IDA systems for optimal performance, handling infrastructure failures, establishing systems for monitoring application efficiency, managing product backlogs, providing clear user stories to development teams, participating in sprint planning and reviews, facilitating application support transitions, developing code and testing programs, preparing documentation, providing technical guidance, debugging systems, participating in user training, and collaborating with business analysts and project managers to clarify requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably with Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs). They should have a minimum of 5 years of project experience in designing and delivering cloud solutions on an enterprise scale, with at least 3 years focused on Azure solutions and services. In-depth knowledge of WBG's concessional finance IDA business domain is essential, along with familiarity with industry-standard processes for systems design, database design, development, testing, and integration phases using Agile SAFe implementations. Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have a strong background in information technology, cloud solutions, and financial systems, ideally with experience in the context of international development and finance.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience, specifically in designing and delivering cloud solutions on an enterprise scale. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with Azure solutions and services, demonstrating a solid understanding of the IDA business domain and experience with financial processes related to development partner funding.

Languages:
