Job Overview: The Resource Mobilisation Specialist plays a crucial role in strengthening FAO Armenia's capacity to secure funding for its initiatives. This position involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, identifying funding opportunities, and aligning these opportunities with FAO Armenia's programmatic priorities. The Specialist will work closely with the FAO Representative for Armenia and the International Programme Coordinator to develop strategic documents, proposals, and reports that effectively communicate the organization's needs and successes. The role requires a proactive approach to fundraising and donor engagement, ensuring that FAO Armenia can continue to implement its vital programs in food security, agriculture, and rural development.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Resource Mobilisation Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: cultivating and maintaining good donor relations by responding to queries and developing fundraising ideas; creating country strategy documents and project proposals in collaboration with relevant personnel; mapping donor strategies and funding opportunities; preparing briefing materials to showcase program results; coordinating the formulation of concept notes and proposals; contributing to strategic information products such as Situation Reports; reviewing key strategic documents for quality assurance; drafting project reports using donor-specified templates; ensuring reports meet corporate standards; and collaborating with communication specialists to produce visibility materials. The Specialist will also ensure compliance with FAO project cycle management guidelines and perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Communication, Social Sciences, or a closely related field. Additionally, a minimum of five years of relevant experience in resource mobilization, donor relations, proposal writing, or strategic communication within international organizations or NGOs is required. Full proficiency in English (Level C) is mandatory, and limited knowledge of Russian (Level B) is desirable. An advanced university degree would be considered an asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in fields such as International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Communication, or Social Sciences.
