The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), hosted by UN Women, collaborates with Member States and civil society to support women-led organizations in peacebuilding and humanitarian responses.

Job Overview:
The Partnerships Analyst position is crucial for facilitating the participation and representation of WPHF Board members in various meetings, both regular and high-level. This role involves scheduling meetings, liaising with Funding Board members, and drafting necessary documents such as annotated agendas and presentations. The analyst will also support the Head of the WPHF Secretariat in organizing the InvestinWomen Replenishment conference, focusing on donor management and resource mobilization. The position requires a deep understanding of the WPHF's mission and the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders to promote and advocate for women's rights and empowerment in peace and humanitarian contexts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide substantive support to the WPHF Funding Board by preparing for meetings, drafting presentations, monitoring implementation of decisions, and organizing retreats.
  • Contribute to developing strategies for resource mobilization by maintaining a donor database, understanding global trends in development cooperation, and liaising with funding governments.
  • Monitor and improve partnership development by identifying external opportunities and managing relationships with UN entities, civil society, and government bodies.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, or women's studies. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields is required for this position. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be considered. The educational background should ideally include studies related to economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, or women's studies, which are pertinent to the role's responsibilities.

Experience:
At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in international affairs is required. Candidates should have previous experience working on partnerships at the international level, particularly with multi-partner funds and programs. Experience related to women, peace, and security, as well as humanitarian issues, is desirable. Familiarity with local women's organizations is also beneficial, as it aligns with the WPHF's mission to support women's rights and empowerment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is desirable and would enhance the candidate's ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
