Job Overview:
The consultant will be responsible for providing longlisting services for assigned positions within UN Women. This role involves assessing applications against job requirements and submitting reports on longlisted candidates within seven days after the closing date of job advertisements. The consultant will work on an 'on call' basis, meaning that the services will be rendered as needed. The consultant will report to the Human Resources Business Partner of the Regional Office and will receive support from the Human Resources Specialist and Human Resources Analyst regarding contract and payment issues. This position is home-based, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while contributing to the organization's mission of gender equality and women's empowerment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the consultant include:
  • Providing longlisting services for various positions as assigned by UN Women.
  • Assessing applications against the specified job requirements to identify suitable candidates for longlisting.
  • Preparing and submitting reports of longlisted candidates for each assigned post within seven days following the closing date of the job advertisement.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information related to recruitment processes.
  • Collaborating effectively with the Human Resources team to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Adhering to deadlines and managing time efficiently to meet the demands of the consultancy.
  • Engaging in continuous communication with the Human Resources team regarding any issues or updates related to the recruitment process.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this consultancy position include:
  • A Master’s Degree in Arts, Gender Studies, International Human Rights, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
  • At least one year of work experience in processing national or international recruitment, particularly in longlisting and/or shortlisting candidates.
  • Experience working with the United Nations is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with HR software, such as ERP or Quantum, is also an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Arts, Gender Studies, International Human Rights, or Human Resources. In cases where candidates hold a first-level university degree, they must also have two additional years of qualifying experience to meet the educational requirements for this position.

Experience:
The consultant is expected to have at least one year of relevant work experience in recruitment processes, specifically in longlisting and shortlisting candidates. Experience within the United Nations system is advantageous, as it provides familiarity with the organization's recruitment practices and standards. Additionally, experience with HR software tools will be beneficial for effectively managing recruitment tasks.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages, such as French or Spanish, or any other UN official language, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's profile.

This consultancy position is home-based, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. UN Women welcomes candidates of all nationalities, including Thai nationals, to apply for this assignment.
