Job Overview: The LogisticsTeam Leader position is crucial for overseeing the logistical operations at the area level for NRC, particularly in Dnipro, Ukraine. The Logistics Team Leader will also be responsible for training and capacity building of the logistics staff, promoting best practices in logistics management, and ensuring that all operations align with NRC's mission and values.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Team Leader will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: overseeing the delivery of goods from and to NRC warehouses and suppliers, coordinating with Access and HSS teams for necessary permits and approvals, training logistics team members on NRC logistics policies, and supervising warehousing activities in the East area and linked field offices. The role also involves planning and executing logistics activities to optimize resource use, maintaining an accurate NRC asset list, managing property leases, ensuring procurement processes align with NRC standards, conducting regular stock checks, and submitting logistics reports to stakeholders. Additionally, the Logistics Team Leader will be responsible for supervising the management of the NRC fleet and reporting any potential fraud cases to the Line Manager.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a humanitarian organization. Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong written and spoken English skills, fluency in Ukrainian, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software. The role requires a commitment to NRC's values and a dedication to humanitarian principles, including accountability, transparency, and anti-corruption.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background should ideally be complemented by training or coursework related to logistics, supply chain management, or humanitarian assistance, which would enhance the candidate's ability to perform effectively in this role.
