Job Overview:
The Admin Coordinator position at SI is crucial for leading administrative operations in a highly volatile environment. The individual in this role will be responsible for directing and coordinating all administrative, accounting, and financial services associated with the mission. This includes defining and ensuring adherence to SI's human resources policy, maintaining the mission's financial balance, and ensuring compliance with both Solidarités administrative procedures and donor requirements, as well as local laws. The Admin Coordinator will serve as the primary point of reference for administrative matters, acting as a liaison between the mission and headquarters. Given the unstable administrative landscape in Aden, the coordinator will need to closely monitor local laws and processes, including banking situations and exchange rates, to effectively manage project forecasts and budgets. Training and capacity building for the administrative and finance teams will also be a priority, as the organization aims to empower national staff to take on key positions within the mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Admin Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: 1) Directing all administrative operations and ensuring compliance with SI and donor procedures. 2) Monitoring the financial balance of the mission and preparing financial reports for ongoing projects. 3) Training and mentoring administrative and finance teams at both coordination and base offices. 4) Conducting regular assessments of the banking situation and exchange rates in Yemen to inform financial planning. 5) Collaborating with field bases to oversee budget spending and ensure financial accountability. 6) Assisting in the restructuring of the mission and updating HR policies as necessary. 7) Ensuring effective closure of long-term projects and submission of required reports. 8) Supporting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in refining mission policies and procedures. 9) Maintaining communication with headquarters regarding administrative matters and updates.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Financial or Administrative Management. Additionally, they should have at least 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in a similar administrative role. Technical skills required include proficiency in Saga and Homere software, familiarity with Solidarités rules and procedures, and knowledge of Shared Cost Methodology. Transversal skills such as strong analytical and writing abilities, capacity to work under pressure in a tense security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security environment, and excellent organizational and communication skills are also essential.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Financial or Administrative Management is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for managing financial and administrative operations effectively within a humanitarian context.

The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with specific experience in a similar administrative role. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of operating in a volatile environment and managing the financial and administrative needs of a humanitarian mission.

Languages:
Fluency in written and oral English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, as it can enhance communication with local staff and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is a short-term contract with an expected start date of April 1, 2025, and a duration of 9 months. The role is based in Aden, Yemen, where the security situation is unstable and requires the staff to spend 50 to 70% of their time. The compensation package includes a gross monthly salary starting from EUR 2860, a monthly per diem of USD 750, and coverage for accommodation and travel expenses. Expatriates will also benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
