Job Overview:
The position is located within the Treasury and Structured Finance (TSF) Section under the Division of Finance and Administrative Management (DFAM), reporting to the Finance OfficerBanking and Payment Solutions Unit. The role involves supporting the administration of UNICEF's banking and cash account arrangements for both headquarters and field locations, which includes managing over 800 bank and cash accounts. The responsibilities include maintaining House Banks, Bank and Cash accounts, and the Bank and Cash Management module (Overture), as well as preparing recurring reports. The position requires a proactive approach to managing banking operations and ensuring compliance with UNICEF's financial policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and review of UNICEF Bank and Cash accounts, including opening, maintaining, and closing bank accounts.
  • Assist with recommendations for Treasurer’s approval of new bank accounts and create initial signatory panels.
  • Manage Cash on Hand Accounts (COHAs) by assisting with recommendations for Treasurer’s approval, and handling the opening, renewal, and closing of COHAs.
  • Oversee Petty Cash Accounts (PCAs) by managing their opening and closing, as well as custodian and ceiling maintenance.
  • Maintain the Bank and Cash Management Module in VISION (Overture) by creating account records, updating GL codes and House Banks, deactivating account records, and reviewing daily SAP-HR reports.
  • Record Treasurer’s approvals for various financial transactions and generate quarterly and annual approval summaries.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance and Investment, Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, ERP Systems, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: At least 7 years of relevant work experience in Accounting and Auditing, Administration, Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Banking, Finance, Treasury, Structured Finance, Cash Management, or Financial Service Providers.
  • Skills: Strong skills in Accounts, Cash Management, ERP systems, Financial Reporting, and Organizational abilities are essential.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a secondary education in relevant fields such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or related disciplines. Higher education qualifications may be preferred but are not explicitly stated as mandatory.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in fields such as Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Finance, and Financial Management.
