Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct desk research on data governance, focusing on regulations and implications for children.
  • Analyze the use of public and administrative data, including cases of misuse.
  • Explore the role of technology, particularly AI, in enhancing service delivery and policymaking for children.
  • Support the Child Module project by facilitating field testing and ensuring stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in capacity building initiatives regarding responsible data practices for children.
  • Undertake additional duties related to social policy as assigned by supervisors, contributing to the overall objectives of the Social Policy Section.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a master's degree program or postgraduate study in law, data science, information management, or a related field. Strong academic performance is essential, demonstrated through recent academic records or a reference letter from an academic supervisor. Candidates must not have immediate relatives working in any UNICEF offices. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is mandatory, ensuring effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A master's degree or postgraduate study in relevant fields such as law, data science, or information management is required. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of social policy and data governance as they relate to children.

Experience:
