Job Overview:
The Intern in the Gender and Economic Inclusion (G&EI) division plays a crucial role in supporting the Strategy, Partnerships, and Impact Reporting pillar. This position involves providing technical assistance and support for various work streams, which include contributing to Bank reports, managing donor-funded programs, and assisting with external communications. The intern will work closely with a team of around 45 gender and inclusion experts, contributing to the Bank's overarching strategies aimed at promoting gender equality and enhancing opportunities for under-served communities. The intern will also engage in research, data analysis, and the preparation of communications materials, thereby gaining valuable experience in the field of gender and economic inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: providing input for various Bank reports and knowledge products; supporting the formation and review of the Bank’s Strategy for the Promotion of Gender Equality; assisting in the management of G&EI’s donor programs, including drafting donor reports; coordinating technical cooperation projects; managing the Gender SMART diagnostic tool; supporting monitoring and reporting of gender and human capital resilience projects; analyzing the impact of Bank projects; contributing to the preparation of communications and knowledge products; and assisting in organizing internal and external events. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, gender studies, international development, or a related field from a recognized university. Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative skills are essential, along with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with social research methods. Experience in developing and maintaining digital data tools, as well as sourcing and managing data, is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory, and good IT skills, including the use of presentation software, are necessary. Familiarity with the EBRD region and knowledge of one or more regional languages are advantageous.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, gender studies, or international development. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical foundation and analytical skills required for the role, enabling the intern to effectively contribute to the Bank's initiatives and projects.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, any relevant internships or volunteer work in the fields of gender studies, economic development, or international relations will be beneficial. The intern should demonstrate a strong interest in gender equality and economic inclusion, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the EBRD region is considered an asset, as it can enhance communication with stakeholders and contribute to the effectiveness of the intern's work.

Additional Notes:
This is a six-month internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position, specifically available to Japanese Nationals.
