Job Overview:
The Programme Management and Communications Intern will be part of the Digital Enablement Team (DET) within the Department of Peace Operations (DPO) at the United Nations. This internship is designed to provide practical experience in the implementation of the Strategy for Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping (DTS). The intern will support various initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety and security of peacekeepers and improving the implementation of UN mandates. The role requires a commitment to working in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of three days in the office each week, and involves collaboration with a diverse team to drive digital transformation efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include assisting in the formulation and implementation of strategies, programs, and projects related to digital enablement. They will support the preparation of presentations, background documents, and talking points for various stakeholders. The intern will also engage in knowledge management activities, including community facilitation and information management. Additional duties involve process optimization, metrics development, and the collection and dissemination of best practices through surveys and workshops. The intern will design communication materials, support website development, and contribute to larger communication strategies. They will also assist in maintaining key data sets and analytics efforts, ensuring that the team's objectives are met effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to have a broad range of educational backgrounds, particularly in fields such as Strategy Development, Innovation, IT, Engineering, Project Management, or Public Administration.
