Job Overview:
The Supply Assistant will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain management within the United Nations Support Mission in Libya. This position requires the incumbent to manage the receipt and distribution of supplies, ensuring that all requisitions are processed efficiently and accurately. The Supply Assistant will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and maintaining organized storage facilities. The role also involves assisting in the procurement process, ensuring compliance with UN regulations, and supporting the overall mission of the organization by facilitating the timely delivery of essential supplies to various units and sections. The incumbent will work closely with the Requisitions Officer and other team members to ensure that all supply chain activities align with the mission's operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Assistant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: receiving authorized online requisitions for supplies, verifying and issuing supplies according to monthly requirements, monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, preparing reports on discrepancies, and informing Supply Officers about stock replenishment needs. The incumbent will also ensure that supplies are organized in the storage facilities, plan for incoming deliveries, and implement quality control measures. Additionally, the Supply Assistant will assist in raising requisitions for services and items, support the Receipt and Inspection Unit in inspecting goods, process internal reports, and update stock records. The role includes conducting periodic inventory verification of UN property, preparing write-off requests for lost or damaged items, and participating in the drafting of specifications for procurement requirements. The Supply Assistant will also perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma as a minimum requirement. Additionally, a technical or vocational certificate in procurement, inventory management, or supply management is required. The position demands a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to manage inventory effectively. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, commitment to gender equality, and strong communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of organization is essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma, with a preference for candidates who have completed a technical or vocational program in relevant fields such as procurement, inventory management, or supply management. Experience:

Languages:
