Job Overview:
The Senior Integrated Social Services Associate will provide technical and operational support for the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of joint UNICEF-Ministry of Social Affairs (MAS) activities. This role involves close collaboration with teams from the Ministry and UNICEF specialists to strengthen capacities, monitor interventions, and document results to support the implementation of an integrated social work approach. The Associate will be primarily supervised by the Social Policy Specialist and will receive technical supervision from the Child Protection Specialist. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance the access of vulnerable children and their families to social services and essential services, contributing to the development of inclusive, effective, and resilient systems and public policies that guarantee children's rights and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementation and Coordination of the Program: Support the implementation and monitoring of joint UNICEF-MAS activities. Facilitate coordination among the Ministry's departments, UNICEF, and partners. Contribute to planning and monitoring meetings, missions, and work plans. Assist in coordinating social protection and child protection interventions within the integrated social work approach.
• Capacity Building: Contribute to organizing and monitoring capacity-building activities for social workers. Support the preparation of training materials and follow up on training outcomes. Disseminate best practices in social protection, child protection, and integrated social work.
• Integrated Social Work and Referral Mechanisms: Support activities aimed at strengthening coordination and referral mechanisms between social protection systems and child protection. Contribute to monitoring initiatives that facilitate access for children and their families to a continuum of services. Improve orientation and referral mechanisms among relevant social services.
• Monitoring, Reporting, and Knowledge Management: Contribute to monitoring activities, data collection, and analysis. Participate in preparing reports, knowledge products, and communication materials. Document results, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Cross-Cutting Support: Provide technical and operational support to the UNICEF-MAS Country Program priorities and annual work plans. Contribute to organizing meetings, workshops, and other programmatic activities. Execute any other relevant tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Mandatory: A bachelor's degree is required. Desired: A university degree at the bachelor's level in political science, international relations, social work, sociology, psychology, law, or a related field is desirable and can substitute for 4 years of required experience. A master's degree is preferred in the same fields and can replace up to 5 years of required experience.

Experience:
Mandatory: Six (6) years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience working with public institutions, particularly in the social sector, is highly desirable. Experience in coordinating activities, monitoring programs, and organizing capacity-building actions is an asset. Desired: Experience with government institutions, particularly in the social sector, and/or within the United Nations system is an asset.

Languages:
Mandatory: Arabic (native) is required. French (fluent) is required. English (intermediate) is desirable.

The contract duration is for 12 months, and the position is classified at the Associate seniority level (ICS 07). The contract type is ICA - LICA - Support - Regular.
