Job Overview: The Business Transformation Officer, CST (Data Analysis & Innovation) position is a consultancy role based in N'Djamena, Chad, for a duration of 11 months. The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage data and innovative technology to enhance operational efficiency within the WFP's Chad Country Office. The officer will report to the Head of Technology, Emergency and Coordination (TEC) and will work closely with a junior data analyst and other technical experts. The role is crucial for designing and developing integrated data solutions that meet business needs while adhering to WFP standards. The officer will be expected to implement innovative, data-driven solutions that improve operational effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring that the organization can respond effectively to the needs of the populations it serves.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Business Transformation Officer include managing the Country Office's Data & Innovation solutions portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The officer will develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness, create verification checks and algorithms for data assurance, and analyze technical guidance for beneficiary data management. The role involves leading data cleaning processes, deduplication, and anomaly detection, as well as monitoring and visualizing identity and transfer management processes. The officer will also be responsible for developing user dashboards and reports, supporting the automation of data ingestion into corporate platforms, and coordinating with regional and HQ counterparts. Additionally, the officer will coach junior IT solutions development staff to promote high performance and continuous development.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess specialized experience in data analysis and innovation practices, with a minimum of three years of postgraduate professional experience in relevant fields. The role requires familiarity with data analysis and visualization methodologies, as well as experience using visualization tools, preferably Tableau. The ability to capture requirements and translate them into actionable insights is essential. Knowledge of WFP Identity Management standards and experience with WFP tools and systems are preferred qualifications.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, information management, public administration, or management is required. Alternatively, a first university degree combined with additional years of related work experience and/or relevant training courses may be acceptable.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of postgraduate professional experience in data analysis and innovation. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background in specialized data analysis practices and the application of innovative solutions in a professional setting.
Languages: Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory, along with intermediate knowledge of French (level B). These language skills are essential for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders.
