Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties will include supporting the production, review, and dissemination of content related to MONDIACULT 2025's priorities. This involves drafting reports, preparing documents, and ensuring they meet UNESCO's standards. The consultant will identify, compile, analyze, and report on quantitative and qualitative data relevant to the conference's focus areas. They will also review key documents to maintain technical and academic rigor. Additionally, the consultant will assist in coordinating the UNESCO Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence and Culture, which includes drafting and organizing documents, facilitating communication among members, and contributing to the design and implementation of AI-related initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for overall coordination of preparatory activities for MONDIACULT 2025, ensuring alignment with the six priority domains outlined in the MONDIACULT 2022 Declaration.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in disciplines related to policy design, particularly in innovation. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in policy and innovation is required, with at least 5 years at the international level. Proven experience in conducting internationally comparative quantitative and qualitative research in policy and innovation is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and drafting skills, as well as strong communication abilities in both English and Spanish. Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies is necessary, along with a good understanding of multilateral cooperation projects and the ability to synthesize and analyze information from various sources.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree in fields related to policy design and innovation is mandatory. A doctorate in disciplines related to technology innovation is desirable, as it would enhance the candidate's qualifications for this role.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of policy and innovation, with a preference for at least 5 years of experience at the international level. This experience should include conducting research and working on projects related to cultural policies and innovation.
Languages: Excellent proficiency in both English and Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate complex issues effectively. A good knowledge of French is also necessary. Knowledge of another UNESCO official language would be considered an asset.
