Job Overview:
The position of Voluntario(a) en Línea involves providing emotional support and psychoeducational counseling to the Bolivian community through a call center service. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and psychoeducational counseling to callers in need through a call center service.
  • Attend shifts for a total of 10 hours per week, with specific hours coordinated with the professional team.
  • Undergo extensive training on care protocols, including emotional first aid and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Participate in online workshops and training sessions offered by UNICEF Bolivia to enhance skills in mental health support and violence prevention.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive demeanor while interacting with callers.
  • Ensure a distraction-free workspace to provide effective support.
  • Collaborate with coordinators for supervision and guidance throughout the volunteering period.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and counseling in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Basic understanding of mental health issues and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training sessions and workshops.
  • Technical proficiency in using a computer with Windows 10 or later, or a MAC with Catalina or later.
  • Reliable internet connection (15 Mbps via cable or 30 Mbps via Wi-Fi) and a good quality headset with a microphone.
  • A quiet and interference-free workspace to conduct calls effectively.

Educational Background:
A background in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Volunteers should have a genuine interest in mental health and community support, and a willingness to learn about the protocols and practices involved in providing emotional assistance.

Experience:
Previous experience in counseling, social work, or volunteer roles related to mental health support is advantageous but not required. The organization values a commitment to helping others and a willingness to engage in training and development.

Languages:
