Job Overview:
The Acquisition Data Analyst / Project Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain processes within UNMISS. This position involves analyzing and cleansing data from the Supply Chain Planning Tool (SCPT) to ensure reliable outputs that directly impact the Mission's budget proposals. The analyst will be responsible for improving data accuracy, optimizing inventory management, and streamlining procurement processes. The role requires a strategic approach to data management, focusing on continuous improvement and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will also be tasked with developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of acquisition processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Acquisition Data Analyst will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: performing data analysis and cleansing for SCPT, producing reports on demand forecasting and stock levels, designing and implementing KPIs for data management, developing continuous improvement plans, maintaining tracking reports for shopping carts and purchase orders, extracting and integrating data for operational reporting, preparing recommendations based on data analysis, conducting project meetings, and liaising with relevant sections to ensure data quality. The analyst will also be responsible for consolidating mission data related to budget, procurement cycles, and consumption patterns, as well as creating systems to track mission contracts throughout their lifecycle. Additionally, the role involves delivering statistical analyses and business intelligence reports to senior management and performing other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, IT, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted. A minimum of six years of progressively relevant experience in acquisition planning, logistics, data analysis, project management, or related fields is required. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel is essential, along with experience in using ERP software like SAP. Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques and applied analytics is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in relevant fields such as supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or IT. Candidates with a first-level university degree and additional work experience may also be considered. The emphasis is on obtaining a strong foundation in data analysis, project management, and supply chain processes.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience in areas such as acquisition and requisition planning, logistics, data analysis, and project management. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with data analysis tools and methodologies, as well as experience in managing complex projects and collaborating with diverse teams. Experience in the United Nations or similar international organizations is an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Knowledge of French is also beneficial but not mandatory.
