Job Overview: The Reporting and Information Management Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of the Disarmament, Demobilization, Reintegration and Stabilization (DDR&S) Section. The role involves compiling and completing information on contextual developments and key activities from DDR&S teams at both headquarters and field office levels. The officer will be responsible for preparing bi-weekly reports, quarterly performance reports, and inputs for the MONUSCO Secretary-General’s Report. Additionally, the officer will coordinate data gathering from operational field teams and improve reporting templates to facilitate information acquisition. The position also requires the preparation of briefing notes, presentations, and analytical notes to support decision-making and advocacy efforts. The officer will ensure accurate recording and digital archiving of documents, manage SharePoint channels, and prepare documentation for audits and evaluations. The role emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure consistency in reporting and effective communication of information.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Reporting and Information Management Officer will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Compiling and completing information on contextual developments and key activities from DDR&S teams in bi-weekly reports and other formats.
Preparing quarterly Results Based Budget (RBB) performance reports and inputs for the MONUSCO Secretary-General’s Report.
Coordinating the monthly gathering of data from DDR&S Operational Field Teams to report on Comprehensive Planning and Performance Assessment System (CPAS) indicators.
Developing and improving reporting templates to facilitate information acquisition.
Preparing briefing notes, talking points, presentations, and analytical notes to inform decision-making and advocacy efforts.
Ensuring timely and accurate recording and digital archiving of documents on SharePoint.
Liaising with the Mission’s information management unit on technical issues related to digital archives.
Managing access to SharePoint channels and preparing documentation for audits.
Identifying and compiling best practices from completed DDR&S activities. 1
Contributing to the organization of internal coordination mechanisms and ensuring follow-up on action points. 1

Additional Notes: The assignment is with family in Kinshasa until June 30, 2025, with a possible extension until June 30, 2026, depending on performance and availability of flights. The living conditions in the DRC can vary significantly, with Kinshasa offering more amenities compared to remote duty stations. Candidates should be prepared to live and work in challenging conditions, including potential insecurity and limited access to basic services. Vaccinations are mandatory for personnel entering the DRC, and malaria prophylaxis is recommended. The unit of currency is the Congolese Franc, with the US dollar also being widely accepted.
