Job Overview: The ICT Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of ICT policies and standards within the Country Office (CO). This position involves providing technical support to end users, managing data and information workflows, and ensuring the effective functioning of hardware and software systems. The ICT Associate will assist in the management of the organization's resources, ensuring compliance with corporate ICT standards, and supporting the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to enhance business results and client services. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to CO staff.
Duties and Responsibilities: The ICT Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: supporting the implementation of ICT management systems and strategies; ensuring compliance with corporate information technology standards; assisting with the installation and repair of hardware and software applications; performing routine repairs and application management; maintaining an inventory of supplies; monitoring server traffic and performance; providing support for data backup and restoration; ensuring ICT security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security by managing administrative rights; supporting network administration and troubleshooting network issues; providing administrative support by managing software and hardware inventory; maintaining CO databases; and preparing statistical reports as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess completed Secondary Level Education as a minimum requirement, with a University Degree in Computer Science being desirable. Relevant certifications in hardware and software management, such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), are also required. Additionally, candidates should have a strong background in network administration, support for hardware and software platforms, and telecommunications facilities, along with a good knowledge of Windows-based applications and corporate ICT security systems.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes completed Secondary Level Education, with a preference for candidates holding a University Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications in ICT management are also beneficial and may enhance a candidate's application.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 6 years of relevant working experience in the field of ICT, including experience in network administration and client support roles such as Help Desk or User Support Units. This experience should encompass support for hardware and software platforms, as well as knowledge of corporate ICT security and viral protection systems.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, while knowledge of other official UN languages, particularly French, is considered desirable and may enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.
