The intern will also engage in program support activities, which may include organizing events, managing procurement processes, and liaising with stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the documentation of existing procedures and the definition of new standard operational procedures, focusing on streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
Support process innovation initiatives by leveraging AI and process automation to improve service delivery and reduce redundancies.
Participate in program support activities, including organizing events and meetings, managing procurement processes, and conducting outreach to stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
Maintain clear and organized documentation of all processes and procedures developed during the internship.
Engage in regular meetings with supervisors to discuss progress, challenges, and insights gained during the internship.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required for the UN Internship Programme, applicants should have a field of study closely related to the internship. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in standard software applications, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Educational Background: Candidates should be students in their final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. program. Proof of enrollment or completion must be provided with the application, and an official certificate will be required at a later stage.
Experience: While prior professional work experience is not mandatory for this internship, candidates should have relevant academic experience or coursework that aligns with the responsibilities of the position. This may include internships, volunteer work, or academic projects related to process management, operational efficiency, or program support.
Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language, such as French, is considered an advantage.
