Job Overview:
The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the provision of financial services within the UNOPS BSSC. Under the guidance of the Finance Officer, the assistant is responsible for ensuring high-quality, accurate, and consistent financial work. This position promotes a client-oriented approach in line with UNOPS regulations and works closely with colleagues from various departments to ensure seamless service delivery. The Finance Assistant's responsibilities include implementing operational strategies, providing accounting and administrative support, and facilitating knowledge sharing within the finance team. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Assistant's duties include ensuring compliance with UNOPS financial processes and maintaining accurate financial records. The assistant is also responsible for maintaining a digital filing system for financial documents, preparing routine correspondence, and improving financial controls and systems. Additionally, the Finance Assistant supports external and internal audits, assists in resolving payment rejections, and escalates issues as necessary. Required Qualifications:
