Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: drafting Hindi news articles by integrating and translating information from diverse sources such as reports, press releases, and official statements; proofreading articles before and after publication; assisting with fact-checking and conducting background research; producing graphic, visual, and audio content; working on feature stories and conducting interviews; reviewing the partnerships database and collaborating with the UN Partnerships Unit to identify new digital media partners; and performing additional duties as assigned, including outreach activities. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, English, or translation studies. Alternatively, applicants may be in their final academic year of a first university degree program in the same fields. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in standard word processing and spreadsheet software, possess a keen interest in the UN's work, and show a commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter.
