The Safety and Security Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing and implementing security strategies to safeguard staff and assets in Damascus. The coordinator will be responsible for conducting regular security assessments, providing training to staff on safety procedures, and liaising with local authorities and security agencies. Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and tools used in risk assessment and management.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in security management, international relations, or a related field is required. A master's degree or relevant certifications in security or crisis management will be considered an advantage.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and security coordination, with a focus on humanitarian operations in conflict zones. Experience in training and capacity building for staff in security protocols is highly desirable.

Languages:
