Job Overview:
The Admin Coordinator position is crucial for leading administrative operations in a highly volatile environment. The individual will be responsible for directing and coordinating all administrative, accounting, and financial services associated with the mission. This role involves defining and ensuring adherence to SI's human resources policy, maintaining the mission's financial balance, and ensuring compliance with both Solidarités administrative procedures and local laws. The Admin Coordinator will serve as the primary point of reference for administrative matters, linking the mission with headquarters. Given the unstable environment in Aden, the coordinator will need to closely monitor local laws and administrative procedures, including banking situations and exchange rates. Training and capacity building for the administrative and finance teams will also be a priority, as the mission aims to enhance the skills of national staff for key positions. The role will require attention to detail, especially as long-term projects conclude and new structural changes are anticipated in the coming year.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Admin Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: 1) Directing and coordinating all administrative, accounting, and financial services for the mission. 2) Ensuring compliance with SI's administrative procedures and local laws. 3) Monitoring the financial balance of the mission and preparing financial reports. 4) Training and mentoring the administrative and finance teams at both coordination and base offices. 5) Conducting regular follow-ups on the banking situation and exchange rates in Yemen. 6) Collaborating with field bases to monitor budget spending on ongoing projects. 7) Adjusting internal systems to accommodate structural changes. 8) Supporting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in refining the mission's restructuring exercise and updating policies as necessary. 9) Preparing for the closure of long-term projects and ensuring all necessary reports are submitted. 10) Maintaining communication with headquarters regarding all administrative matters.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Financial or Administrative Management. They should have at least 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a similar duration in a comparable position. Technical skills required include knowledge of Saga and Homere software, familiarity with Solidarités rules and procedures, and understanding of Shared Cost Methodology. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills, the ability to work under pressure in a tense security environment, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Financial or Administrative Management is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding financial systems, administrative processes, and human resource management, which are critical for the role of Admin Coordinator.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in administrative and financial management roles. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in similar positions, demonstrating their ability to navigate complex administrative environments and manage financial operations effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in written and oral English is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for communication with international staff and reporting. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, as it will facilitate interactions with local stakeholders and enhance the coordinator's effectiveness in the field.

The position is a short-term contract with an expected start date of April 1, 2025, lasting for 9 months. The role is based in Aden, Yemen, where the security situation is unstable and requires the staff to spend 50-70% of their time. The compensation package includes a starting salary of EUR 2860 gross per month, a monthly per diem of USD 750, and coverage for accommodation and travel expenses. Expatriates will also benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, dental, and repatriation costs. The living conditions provided by SI include individual and spacious rooms, common areas with amenities, and a diverse food availability.
