Job Overview:
The Project Management Support Associate will play a crucial role in the EU Central Asia Civil Society Facility project, which aims to enhance the participation of Central Asian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in regional dialogues and improve their competencies. The associate will provide technical and administrative support services, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with UNOPS regulations. This position involves coordinating project activities, monitoring team performance, and engaging with implementing partners. The associate will also be responsible for logistics and asset management, ensuring that all logistical needs are met in accordance with UNOPS policies. Additionally, the role includes knowledge building and sharing, where the associate will facilitate training initiatives and contribute to knowledge networks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall project support regarding financial and grants management, procurement, monitoring and reporting, and engagement with implementing partners.
  • Coordinate individual work areas and coach personnel in executing standard office transactions and processes.
  • Monitor team performance against service agreements and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective logistics and asset management support services, including overseeing shipments, customs clearance, travel, and events management.
  • Supervise transportation services and ensure prompt reporting of vehicle incidents.
  • Organize and facilitate training and learning initiatives for personnel on administration-related topics.
  • Contribute to knowledge networks by synthesizing lessons learned and disseminating best practices.
  • Collect feedback and ideas to improve processes and practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • A first university degree (Bachelor) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent disciplines is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Administrative certification is an asset in the absence of a degree.
  • Proficiency in computers and office software packages (MS Office) is required.
  • Experience in handling web-based management systems is necessary.
  • Some experience in UN system organizations is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes at least the completion of secondary school. While a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent disciplines is desirable, it is not mandatory. In cases where candidates do not possess a degree, having an administrative certification can be considered an asset. This flexibility in educational requirements allows for a broader range of applicants to be considered for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of six years of relevant experience in general administrative, logistics, or operations support services within national or international public or corporate organizations. If a candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, a combination of two years of experience may be accepted. Experience within UN system organizations is considered desirable, as it indicates familiarity with the operational standards and practices of the UN. Proficiency in using computers and office software packages, particularly MS Office, is essential, along with experience in web-based management systems. Familiarity with Enterprise systems, including OneUNOPS, is also desirable.

Languages:
Full working knowledge of English and Russian is required for this position. Additionally, knowledge of a regional working language is considered an asset, as it may enhance communication and collaboration with local stakeholders and partners.

This position is offered under a Local Individual Contractor Agreement (LICA) contract type, specifically at the ICS 6/LICA 6 level. The contract duration is open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance.
