Job Overview:
The Urban Development and Mobility Analyst position is designed to support WRI Indonesia's urban mobility and development teams by conducting thorough analyses and facilitating engagement efforts related to nature-based solutions, road safety, and sustainable transport issues. The role involves urban planning and design at both national and sub-national levels, with a focus on producing high-quality research products that provide essential information to targeted audiences. The analyst will be responsible for rigorous data collection and robust analysis, contributing to project management through report writing and the development of materials for engagement and capacity-building activities. The position requires collaboration with the Climate-Energy-Cities-Ocean program team and active participation in WRI's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Urban Development and Mobility Analyst will engage in a variety of tasks, primarily divided into three categories: Research (60%), Project Management (20%), and Stakeholder Engagement (20%). In the research domain, the analyst will co-develop unbiased research products focusing on nature-based solutions, road safety, and sustainable transport, improving WRI's institutional knowledge in these areas. This includes conducting policy analysis, data collection, and fieldwork planning, as well as developing findings and recommendation reports. In project management, the analyst will organize meetings, workshops, and conferences, and contribute to writing reports for funders and donors. For stakeholder engagement, the analyst will cultivate relationships with policymakers and key stakeholders, maintain stakeholder expectations, and support the development of communication materials for public speaking events and internal communications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in transportation, civil engineering, urban planning, architecture, or a related field. A minimum of three years of full-time work experience in urban planning/design and transportation is required, with knowledge and experience in nature-based solutions, sustainable transport, and road safety considered a plus. The ability to support discrete elements of research projects under managerial guidance is essential, including literature review, data collection, and analysis. Proven experience in statistical analysis and transport modeling is necessary, along with intermediate skills in CAD or other design software. Candidates should demonstrate experience in writing research products and have a history of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to handle competing priorities are crucial.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as transportation, civil engineering, urban planning, or architecture is required for this position. Advanced degrees may be advantageous but are not explicitly stated as necessary.
