Job Overview: As a volunteerpsychologist, you will contribute to the well-being of our staff by providing psychological support to employees, volunteers, and interns in Lyon and Paris. Your mission includes facilitating collective actions and sessions, such as the 'Café des aidants' which occurs every two months. This group, based on voluntary participation, consists of employees who are family caregivers, providing a friendly and supportive space for sharing experiences, asking questions, or simply listening. You will assist in facilitating discussions and emotional expression within this group. Additionally, you may be called upon to lead collective sessions for teams facing exceptional events, such as the announcement of a serious illness or the death of a colleague, offering psychoeducation and tools to manage these situations effectively. You will also provide quantitative trends and qualitative information to contribute to the improvement of well-being policies and personnel management, and participate in briefing interviews for headquarters staff visiting challenging contexts, depending on availability and service needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate the 'Café des aidants' sessions every two months, providing a supportive environment for family caregivers.
Assist in leading collective sessions for teams in response to exceptional events, offering psychoeducation and emotional support.
Provide quantitative and qualitative data to enhance well-being policies and personnel management.
Participate in briefing interviews for staff visiting difficult contexts, preparing them for their assignments and offering reflective space for emotional analysis.
Collaborate with social workers and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Adapt activities based on the specific needs and requests of teams.
Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance your skills and effectiveness in the role.
Required Qualifications:
Possession of a Master 2 degree in Psychology.
Experience in conducting clinical interviews with adults in a workplace setting, particularly in themes related to burnout prevention and work-related stress.
Ideally, experience in facilitating group activities.
Alignment with the values and mission of Handicap International.
Sensitivity to the international solidarity sector, with prior experience being a plus.
Proficiency in French is mandatory, and knowledge of English or other languages is an asset.
Educational Background: A Master 2 degree in Psychology is required for this position, ensuring that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to provide psychological support effectively.
Experience: Candidates should have experience in clinical practice, particularly in conducting interviews with adults in a work environment. Experience in group facilitation is preferred, especially in contexts related to mental health and well-being in the workplace. Familiarity with issues of burnout and work-related stress is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English or any other language is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The start date for this volunteer position is as soon as possible, with the duration of the mission being 6 months or longer if possible. This volunteer opportunity allows you to discover an international non-governmental organization, and it includes insurance and a volunteer agreement. Reimbursement for actual expenses incurred during the volunteering is provided. You will be part of a motivated and dynamic team, working in an accessible office located in a vibrant area of Lyon, easily reachable by metro. The workplace is equipped with ramps, elevators, and open spaces, with quiet boxes available for focused work.
