Job Overview: The position of Assistant Technique Logistique Achat is crucial for the effective implementation of logistics and procurement functions within the NRC Sudan team based in Chad. The Assistant will play a key role in managing daily logistics tasks, assisting in the preparation and monitoring of procurement files, and ensuring proper documentation and archiving of logistics records. This position is vital for the successful execution of projects aligned with NRC's country strategy, especially in the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan and the influx of refugees into Chad.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Technique Logistique Achat will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: working in accordance with NRC policies and guidelines; assisting in the implementation of support functions as per the action plan; drafting progress reports on support activities as requested; ensuring proper archiving of documents; promoting improvements in support functions; assisting in the preparation and monitoring of procurement files; maintaining an updated procurement tracking file; overseeing compliance with procurement procedures and contract execution; managing the physical and electronic archiving of logistics documents; collaborating with HR and administration to provide necessary supplies; supervising service providers at the office and guest houses; preparing certificates of good execution and delivery notes; submitting assigned reports on schedule; managing assets and immobilizations; tracking vehicle fleets and generators; ensuring proper stock management; preparing monthly logistics reports; assisting in creating and maintaining a supplier database; preparing goods and documents for transport services; and supervising loading and unloading of goods for Sudan.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications: a minimum of a BAC+2 in logistics or a related field; professional experience as an assistant in a support function within a humanitarian context; prior experience in complex and unstable environments; proven results in fulfilling job responsibilities; and proficiency in French, English, and local Arabic, both written and spoken.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes at least a BAC+2 degree in logistics or a related field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of logistics and procurement in humanitarian operations.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have professional experience in a support role within a humanitarian context.
