Job Overview: The position of Local expert Graphic Designer involves providing technical support to enterprises that have been selected for the implementation of the 'In Motion Programme' and the 'Growing with Your Business' methodology. This role is crucial in assisting local businesses to enhance their branding and marketing strategies through effective graphic design. The designer will work closely with selected enterprises to understand their needs and create visually appealing designs that align with their business objectives. The assignment is set to begin on April 1, 2025, and will last until March 30, 2027, under a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) framework, meaning that the consultant will be called upon based on UNDP's needs during this period. The role requires a proactive approach to design, ensuring that the enterprises receive tailored support that meets their specific requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with selected enterprises to assess their graphic design needs and objectives.
Develop creative design concepts and solutions that effectively communicate the enterprises' messages.
Create high-quality graphic materials, including logos, brochures, social media graphics, and other marketing collateral.
Ensure that all designs are aligned with the enterprises' branding guidelines and marketing strategies.
Provide ongoing support and revisions based on feedback from the enterprises.
Stay updated on design trends and best practices to ensure that the enterprises' materials are modern and effective.
Work within deadlines to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Maintain clear communication with UNDP and the enterprises throughout the design process.
Document all design processes and provide reports on project progress as required.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong understanding of branding principles and marketing strategies.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in graphic design or related areas will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design is required. Experience working with small to medium-sized enterprises or in a consulting capacity is preferred. Familiarity with the local business environment in Kosovo will be an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Albanian or Serbian is considered a strong asset, as it will facilitate communication with local enterprises.
Additional Notes: This position is a long-term contract lasting for two years, with the possibility of extension based on UNDP's needs. The role is expected to be full-time, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the enterprises. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
