Job Overview: The Advocacy Officer on Energy Transition and Digitalization will work under the supervision of UNDP’s Communication Officer. This role involves supporting the organization of events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively. The officer will assist in drafting documentation, coordinating with beneficiaries, and developing outreach materials. The position requires a proactive approach to managing communications and ensuring transparency in processes. The officer will also be involved in conducting surveys among beneficiaries and preparing meeting reports, contributing to the overall advocacy efforts of UNDP in promoting digitalization and energy transition in Timor-Leste.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Implementation and Logistics Support: Organize events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring all logistics are anticipated and managed. Draft relevant documentation before and after meetings, coordinate with beneficiaries for invitations and confirmations, assist in drafting and translating communication materials, and prepare meeting documents and reports.
Event Management: Provide administrative and logistical support for various events, field missions, dialogues, and presentations. Document events effectively to ensure all activities are recorded and reported accurately.
Communication and Outreach: Develop outreach materials and ensure all communications are well documented. Engage with stakeholders to promote UNDP’s initiatives and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
Additional Tasks: Undertake any other tasks as required by the Communication Officer, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team in achieving its objectives.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled in the final academic year of high school or hold a university degree in a relevant field. A genuine interest in energy transition and digitalization is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to the values and mission of UNDP. Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills is also required, along with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Educational Background: Candidates should ideally have an educational background in fields related to energy transition, digitalization, or other relevant areas. This includes being in the final year of high school or having recently graduated from a university program.
