Job Overview: The position of Videographer for the 'Amman Is Listening' project involves capturing and producing high-quality video content that reflects the project's objectives and engages the community. The role requires creativity, technical skills in videography, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams. The assignment is expected to span a period of 20 days, from March 2025 to September 2025, during which the videographer will be expected to deliver compelling video content that resonates with the target audience and supports the project's goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Videographer will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
Plan and execute video shoots for various project activities, including workshops, community events, and interviews.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand the key messages and themes to be captured in the videos.
Edit and produce high-quality video content that meets UNDP's standards and effectively communicates the project's objectives.
Ensure all video content is delivered on time and in accordance with the project timeline.
Maintain and manage video equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
Work closely with the project team to incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to video content.
Assist in the development of a video strategy that aligns with the project's communication goals.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members on video-related matters.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in videography and video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, sound, and composition.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of UNDP's mission and values is an advantage.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in film production, media studies, communications, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in videography or video editing are a plus.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in videography and video production. Experience working on development projects or with international organizations is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the quality of the video content produced.
Additional Notes: This position is for an individual contractor and is expected to be a short-term assignment not exceeding 20 days. The work will be conducted in Amman, Jordan, and the contractor will be required to submit proposals through the UNDP supplier portal. The deadline for submitting proposals is set for February 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM New York time. The position is part-time and may require flexibility in scheduling to accommodate project activities.
