Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will support the finance team with a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciling accounts, compiling and consolidating financial data, reviewing supporting documents for accuracy, and contributing to system development and process improvement initiatives. They will also assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls, developing training materials, and drafting various financial and analytical reports. Participation in special projects related to process improvement, data analysis, and policy development will also be expected, along with delivering assigned tasks in a collaborative and timely manner.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be students currently enrolled in or have recently completed a graduate program or the final year of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. While no prior work experience is required, relevant coursework or skills that can benefit the United Nations during the internship are essential. Specialization in finance or accounting is considered an asset.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should be pursuing or have completed a graduate degree (second university degree or equivalent) or be in the final academic year of a bachelor's degree program.
