Job Overview: The main objective of the position is to produce and synthesize reports, project proposals, and other communication documents under the supervision of the grant coordinator. The RCO will ensure compliance with donor regulations and contribute to improving internal communication within the mission. Additionally, the RCO will be involved in designing a communication strategy for external audiences. The role requires maintaining high-quality written outputs in both French and English, participating in capacity-building efforts for field colleagues regarding report writing and project proposals, and contributing to the development of internal and external communication materials. The RCO will also assist in compiling documentation for audits and enhancing the mission's understanding of donor strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce and synthesize reports and project proposals in compliance with donor regulations.
Improve internal communication within the mission.
Develop a communication strategy for external audiences.
Maintain high-quality written outputs in both French and English.
Collaborate with the grant coordinator to enhance the capacity of field colleagues in report writing and project proposal development.
Contribute to the development of internal and external communication materials.
Compile documentation for audits.
Stay informed about donor strategies and requirements.
Participate in field visits to gather information and insights for reporting purposes. 1
Ensure timely submission of reports and proposals to donors.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of the rules and procedures of various institutional donors.
Excellent writing, analytical, and synthesis skills.
Strong planning, organization, and coordination abilities.
Familiarity with communication tools and materials, with a willingness to develop them.
Diplomatic skills and experience working in intercultural environments.
Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
Experience: The position requires 0-2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector. A first experience in a similar role would be an asset, but not mandatory.
Languages: Fluency in French, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is also required.

The salary is based on experience, starting from EUR 2035 gross per month (including a base salary of EUR 1850 and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly), along with a monthly per diem of USD 60
SI covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. A break system is in place, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with additional rest days for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and optical care, as well as vaccination and malaria treatment costs. The living conditions in Yaoundé are comfortable, with modern accommodations located close to the SI office. The city offers various leisure activities and has a large expatriate community.
