Job Overview:
The Database Administration Lead will be a key player within the Digital, Knowledge and Information Service (EXD/DKI) of the OECD's Executive Directorate (EXD). This role involves providing technical leadership and managing a team of Database Administrators to ensure the sustainable and secure operation of the organization's database infrastructure. The position requires overseeing Microsoft SQL servers and databases, both on-premises and in the Cloud, ensuring optimal performance and availability. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to deliver efficient corporate services and support the OECD's mission of enhancing knowledge and influencing policy-making. The role also includes a focus on compliance with corporate policies and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security standards, making it essential for the candidate to have a strong understanding of database management and infrastructure security.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Database Administration Lead will be responsible for providing database administration expertise, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and managing the design, installation, and maintenance of a hybrid database infrastructure. Key responsibilities include administering Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, establishing secure infrastructure standards, coordinating with IT service teams, developing relationships with service providers, and contributing to budget planning for database services. Additionally, the lead will manage a small team, conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and stay updated on industry trends to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant industry certifications, such as those related to SQL Server or Azure, are also required. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience managing large, complex database infrastructures and services, including experience with secure hybrid database environments in the Cloud. A broad knowledge of current technologies, IT project management methodologies, and experience in guiding staff in a matrix organizational structure are essential. Experience in an international and cross-cultural setting is preferable.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in information technology or a related field is required. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Relevant industry certifications, particularly in SQL Server or Azure, are highly desirable and will strengthen the candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of experience in managing large and complex database infrastructures, services, and projects. Candidates should have a proven track record in implementing and maintaining secure hybrid database infrastructures and associated services in the Cloud. Experience in evaluating emerging technologies and their strategic value is also important, along with familiarity with IT project management methodologies and frameworks.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two official OECD languages (English and French) is mandatory, with a willingness to learn the other language. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile in this international organization.

Additional Notes:
The position offers an open-ended contract with a monthly salary starting at 7,644.78 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax.
