Role and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Shelter Team Leader, the Shelter Technical Assistant is expected to support the day-to-day implementation of Shelter activities in urban and rural settings. Shelter Programme encompasses supporting conflict-affected communities in Southern oblasts through a set of various modalities of in-kind support, construction and repairing work (using contractors), providing cash and voucher assistance etc. The support is being provided in the cycle of assessment, defining proper response, implementing monitoring, and evaluation.

Specific responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Shelter Team Leader, conduct assessments or guide enumerators when participating in needs assessments to identify potential beneficiaries that could benefit from NRC’s Shelter activities. Provide regular suggestions on programme improvements and progress reports to the Shelter Team Leader and Shelter Project Coordinator. Closely cooperate with other departments to ensure adequate field-level implementation of a coherent integrated programme in target areas in Ukraine, If assigned, liaise at the field level with local government/stakeholders/communities to ensure NRC obtains required permissions for day-to-day project implementation, Complete assigned tasks related to the distribution of Non-food Items and Cash in compliance with standard procedures and guiding documents, Engage with communities to enhance community participation and involvement in project phases in line with safe and inclusive programming guidelines. Prepare procurement documents and participate in procurement procedures. Ensure proper securing of project supporting documents. Provide inputs for project planning and reporting purposes.Critical interfaces
