Job Overview: The Finance Coordinator position is crucial for managing significant financial volumes and budgets related to emergency responses. The role involves reporting and accountancy for the year 2024, budgeting for 2025, and managing emergency response proposals. The Finance Coordinator will work in a complex security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security environment in Beirut, where access to the office is currently possible, but the situation may evolve. The position requires a strong understanding of financial management within the humanitarian sector, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
Overseeing the financial management of emergency response budgets, ensuring compliance with donor rules and regulations.
Preparing financial reports and accountancy for the year 202
Developing and managing budgets for the year 202
Collaborating with program teams to ensure financial resources are allocated effectively.
Monitoring and evaluating financial performance against budgets and providing recommendations for improvements.
Managing relationships with donors and ensuring adherence to their financial requirements.
Providing training and support to staff on financial management processes and tools.
Conducting financial audits and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. 1
Adapting financial strategies in response to changing security conditions in Beirut.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least 3 to 4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in a similar financial management role. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly SAGA, and a strong understanding of budget cycles and donor regulations are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate strong management skills, effective internal and external communication abilities, and resilience under pressure.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Candidates should have formal training or certifications that support their expertise in financial management within the humanitarian context.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in financial management within the humanitarian sector. Experience in emergency response budgeting and financial reporting is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with donor compliance and regulations.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the operational context in Lebanon.

The salary is competitive, starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is provided. Accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment are covered by SI. The organization implements a break system, allowing for time off every three months, along with an additional rest day per month worked. Expatriates are provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions in Beirut are generally favorable, with access to internet, restaurants, and a relatively safe environment, although security constraints may evolve based on the situation.
