Job Overview: The position of Responsable de Département Nutrition Santé involves defining strategies and coordinating ACF's interventions in the field of health and nutrition under the supervision of the Deputy Program Director. The role requires the design, capitalization, and evaluation of nutritional and health interventions, as well as advocacy actions within the sector. The candidate will assess and analyze the nutritional context of Cameroon, collect and analyze nutritional data from various partners (NGOs, UN agencies, government structures) to decide on the launch of surveys, and oversee and coordinate programs in nutrition and health. Additionally, the candidate will supervise or conduct rapid assessments and nutritional surveys, control and validate program consumption to establish orders and ensure quality control, manage the Nutrition Health team in the capital, and develop and animate programs and advocacy in partnership with national and local actors. The role also includes representing ACF and advocating for its positions in health and nutrition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, capitalize, and evaluate nutritional and health interventions and advocacy actions in the sector.
Assess and analyze the nutritional context of Cameroon.
Collect and analyze nutritional data from partners to decide on survey launches.
Supervise or conduct rapid assessments and nutritional surveys.
Control, validate, and monitor program consumption for order establishment and quality control.
Manage the Nutrition Health team in the capital and functionally manage Nutrition Health Program Managers in the field.
Develop and animate programs and advocacy in partnership with national and local actors.
Represent ACF and advocate for its positions in health and nutrition.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must hold a university degree in medicine, nursing, or another relevant medical or paramedical specialty. A minimum of five years of experience in project management or humanitarian action in complex environments is required.
