Job Overview: The Référent Recherche Clinique (RRC) position is integral to ALIMA's Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) research unit, which conducts clinical trials related to viral hemorrhagic fevers and COVID-19 in Africa. The RRC will coordinate research projects, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to clinical trial protocols. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including local institutions and research partners, to enhance the quality of healthcare and treatment for affected communities. The RRC will also be responsible for developing research strategies, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position is based in Paris, with regular travel to project sites in Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of research projects, including defining objectives, developing timelines, and organizing meetings.
Foster collaboration among project partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and documentation of project activities.
Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, overseeing training and monitoring of team members.
Organize the drafting of study documents, including protocols and reports, and contribute to the scientific dissemination of research findings.
Implement measures to prevent abuse and ensure a safe environment for beneficiaries and community members.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a medical, nursing, pharmacy, or laboratory degree, along with a Master's degree or thesis in public health or epidemiology. A minimum of one year of experience in clinical trial coordination is required, along with knowledge of clinical research regulations and ethics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with data collection software is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Educational Background: The position requires a medical degree, nursing degree, pharmacy degree, or laboratory degree, complemented by a Master's degree or thesis in public health or epidemiology. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of clinical research and public health initiatives.
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year of experience in coordinating clinical trials, with a preference for those who have field experience in implementing clinical or humanitarian projects. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements is essential for ensuring compliance and quality in research activities.
Languages: Fluency in both French and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders in various project locations.
Additional Notes: The position is a fixed-term contract (CDD) under French law, with a duration of one year, renewable based on performance and project needs. The start date is as soon as possible. The salary is based on Level 8 of the Paris headquarters salary grid. Employees are entitled to five weeks of paid vacation per year, along with a system of compensatory days for professional travel. ALIMA provides complementary health coverage for employees and their dependents, as well as meal vouchers valued at €9.25 per day, with 60% covered by ALIMA. Employees also receive 1.95 RTT days per month and reimbursement of 50% of public transport costs in the Paris region.
