Job Overview:
The UN Volunteer position involves supporting the delivery of key outputs related to the Economic Commission for Western Asia's projects. The volunteer will assist in finalizing the 10th National Development Plan (NDP) Assessment, contributing to the upcoming XB Project with Oman, and supporting research and team deliverables. The role requires conducting in-depth research and analysis, collecting and reviewing data, and synthesizing information to produce various documents. The volunteer will also engage in meetings, provide project updates, and collaborate with different departments to ensure alignment with project goals. This position is crucial for facilitating informed decision-making and achieving successful project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The UN Volunteer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support ongoing and planned XB projects, including the mid-term review of the 10th National Development Plan (NDP) and the market study for the building sector in Oman. Specific duties include collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data using appropriate tools and software, ensuring the accuracy and dependability of databases, synthesizing information from various sources to produce background papers and technical reports, actively participating in meetings to provide project updates, and incorporating feedback for informed decision-making. The volunteer will also create presentations and visual materials to communicate insights effectively, evaluate the accuracy of data sets, maintain organized electronic reference files, and perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the UN Volunteer position should possess strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information from various sources.
