Job Overview:
The PMO Lead of UNESCORE is a pivotal role within the Bureau for Digital Business Solutions (DBS) at UNESCO. This position is integral to the UNESCORE program, which is a cornerstone of UNESCO's digital transformation initiatives. The primary objective of this role is to streamline core work processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and results. The PMO Lead will oversee the implementation of the C/5 planning and program management system, ensuring that all processes are fully supported digitally. The position requires a senior program management lead who can coordinate various tasks, manage stakeholders effectively, and enhance program management capabilities. The role will involve ongoing improvements to the UNESCORE system, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that the program meets its objectives efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The PMO Lead will be responsible for coordinating and organizing tasks related to the UNESCORE program. This includes providing services to enhance program management, ensuring visibility of internal team activities, and overseeing stakeholder follow-up actions. The role requires the individual to manage change effectively, ensuring user adoption of new systems and processes. The PMO Lead will also be responsible for planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all business-related requests are addressed. Additionally, the individual will oversee the transition from the incumbent CRM system, enhance reporting capabilities, and ensure that training materials are complete for new functionalities. The PMO Lead will liaise with both internal and external technical and functional teams to fulfill program objectives and provide regular updates and briefings on progress.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field. Demonstrated experience using JIRA for planning and prioritization, as well as Microsoft SharePoint for organizing collaborative workspaces, is essential. A strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and information architecture is required, along with excellent communication skills in both English and French. Candidates should also have proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Query, and SharePoint, and possess strong analytical skills and reporting capabilities. A high level of individual responsibility, commitment, and initiative is expected, along with the ability to respond flexibly to changes and develop alternate plans to achieve objectives.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may also be considered. Candidates should have a solid understanding of business processes, controls, and risks to effectively manage data and reporting.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in program management, particularly within the context of international organizations or the UN. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships, with a focus on digital transformation initiatives. Experience with Salesforce implementation in similar environments is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the UN context and its operational frameworks.

Languages:
