The consultant will be responsible for providing practical project management and coordination support throughout a twelve-month implementation period. This includes maintaining accurate plans, schedules, trackers, and meeting records to ensure that project workstream owners and GCF management have a current view of activities, deadlines, dependencies, risks, decisions, costs, and readiness requirements. The consultant will assist in the progression of priority workstreams and locations from mobilization through implementation, operational launch, stabilization, and planned transition to steady-state ownership. By the end of the assignment, the GCF should have well-organized and up-to-date project records, embedded common tracking and reporting tools, documented lessons learned, and a clear handover and transition package to support continued implementation and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant will provide a comprehensive set of services, including but not limited to: assisting in preparing and updating the Regional Presence Master Implementation Plan and integrated schedule; maintaining the master plan, schedules, registers, dashboards, and supporting records in GCF-designated systems; recording approved activities, milestones, deliverables, owners, deadlines, and dependencies; coordinating routine inputs from workstream leads and location focal points; providing meeting and governance support; updating risk, issue, dependency, assumption, decision, and change-control registers; maintaining decision-gate and readiness trackers; supporting the preparation and use of standardized location readiness checklists; compiling readiness inputs and supporting documents; maintaining host-country and location trackers; assisting in consolidating implementation cost, commitment, forecast, and resource information; updating the project dashboard and preparing draft status reports; preparing draft presentations, briefing materials, and summary notes; organizing project files and maintaining version control; and promptly flagging material gaps or inconsistencies in source information to the Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a recognized program or project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, AgilePM). Candidates should have eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, project management, project administration, implementation support, or a closely related field. Practical experience in updating project plans, schedules, action trackers, dashboards, risk and issue logs, meeting records, and status reports is essential. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, including preparation of trackers, status reports, and management presentations. Experience with Asana, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or comparable collaborative project-management platforms is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate good organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage several concurrent tasks under supervision. Very good written and spoken English is mandatory.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a relevant degree in project management, business administration, environmental science, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or related disciplines will be considered an advantage.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management or coordination roles, with a proven track record of supporting complex projects in a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience in international organizations or development institutions is highly desirable, as is familiarity with geographically distributed projects.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is considered a strong asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments.

Additional Notes:
This position is a full-time consultancy role based at GCF Headquarters in Songdo, South Korea, for a duration of twelve (12) months. The consultant will be required to be onsite and may need to travel to Regional Presence locations as necessary. The role does not include authority to approve readiness, accept risk, authorize deployment, commit GCF, approve expenditure, or assume responsibilities assigned to GCF management or functional owners. Performance will be assessed throughout the assignment based on the timeliness, accuracy, and organization of project-support outputs, as well as the quality of collaboration with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
