Job Overview: The position is integrated into the Headquarters and National Associations (AN) Management Control Service, which supports national directors and associations in the financial, budgetary, and analytical management of their activities. This service is responsible for producing financial reports, consolidating network data, monitoring financial risks, and continuously improving management tools and processes. The future team consists of 8 members (7 in Lyon, 1 in Luxembourg) and operates in an international context with interactions with the United States and Germany. The role has two complementary dimensions: enhancing and ensuring the reliability of financial data, and managing the financial oversight of a portfolio primarily comprising the UK National Association. The aim is to structure, validate, analyze, and provide useful data for management while ensuring budgetary, financial, and risk monitoring of the assigned scope. The position transforms business needs into actionable indicators and dashboards, supports budget managers, and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial processes and information systems. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Ensuring the reliability and accuracy of financial data through rigorous analysis and validation processes.
Producing and automating financial reports that meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Collaborating with budget managers to provide insights and support in financial decision-making.
Monitoring financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Structuring and formalizing data management rules to enhance reporting efficiency.
Engaging with international teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, including ERP and Data Warehouse environments.
Providing training and support to team members and stakeholders on financial tools and reporting.
Participating in strategic discussions with senior management and providing data-driven recommendations. 1
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
Strong understanding of budget control, variance analysis, financial closures, and reconciliations.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Data Warehousing, and data governance principles.
Previous experience or regular interactions with a governing body such as a board of directors is a plus.
Knowledge of Navision, Workday, SQL, or equivalent tools is appreciated.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and propose continuous improvement solutions.
Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on pedagogy and active listening to business needs.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess a degree from a business school, engineering school, or a Master's degree in management/finance. This educational background is essential to ensure a solid foundation in financial principles and practices necessary for the role.
Experience: Candidates should have a solid and confirmed practice in data analysis, management control, financial reporting, or a hybrid finance/data function. A first experience or regular interactions with a governing body such as a board of directors would be advantageous, indicating a level of familiarity with organizational governance and strategic decision-making processes.
Languages: Fluency in French is required, and proficiency in English is mandatory (both written and oral) due to the international scope of the role, particularly with the UK National Association. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position is a permanent contract (CDI) with a starting salary of 30,000 euros gross per year.
