Job Overview: The Analyst position is integral to the EBRD's Green Economy Transition (GET) approach, which aims to integrate sustainability into banking operations. The role involves leadership in delivering GET through financial institutions, focusing on Paris Alignment and Climate Corporate Governance at the transaction level. The Analyst will engage in all aspects of the EBRD project life cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, monitoring, and technical cooperation management. The position also requires supporting special projects aimed at greening the financial system, making it essential for the Analyst to possess a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape and environmental sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for developing new green financial products and contributing to project structuring and execution. Key responsibilities include marketing and business development to build market contacts, supporting the identification and structuring of Green Economy Transition components for EBRD investments, and ensuring compliance with the Bank's standards during due diligence processes. The Analyst will also engage in policy dialogue projects, collaborating with local authorities and industry associations to enhance the investment climate. Additionally, the role involves managing outsourced assignments for technical and policy services, providing necessary support for meetings, and assisting in the procurement of grants and technical cooperation funds.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a relevant degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or economics, with a combination of technical and commercial skills being advantageous. Significant work experience in engineering, consultancy, energy, chemical, manufacturing sectors, or financial institutions is required, with a proven track record in project development.
