Job Overview:
The ASP.NET Developer position is crucial for the successful implementation and delivery of the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) project. The role involves high-quality documentation of business requirements, supporting solution design and implementation activities, and coordinating with various stakeholders and technical teams. The developer will also be responsible for testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities, ensuring that project documentation and reporting are delivered effectively. The position is based in UNRWA's Headquarters in Amman, with the flexibility for remote consultancy in UNRWA's fields of operations. The expected duration of the consultancy is seven months, during which the developer will contribute to the stabilization and deployment of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the ASP.NET Developer include but are not limited to: building and maintaining FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies; developing and maintaining modules for organizational hierarchy, premises management, project management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS-related functionalities; creating backend services, APIs, and integrations with both internal and external systems; providing daily technical support and analyzing business/system requirements; conducting bug fixing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality assurance activities; reviewing code to ensure application security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards; supporting deployment, UAT, production releases, and post-go-live stabilization activities; preparing technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals; delivering regular progress updates and backlog tracking reports; and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while collaborating with project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of four years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server is required. Candidates should have experience in enterprise application development and implementation, as well as developing APIs and integrations. Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies is essential. Experience with relational databases and SQL Server, along with troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills, is also necessary. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the technical aspects of the role and successfully executing the responsibilities associated with the FMIS project.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in web application development, specifically using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Candidates should have a strong background in enterprise application development and implementation, as well as experience in developing APIs and integrations. Languages:

Additional Notes:
The consultancy is based in UNRWA's Headquarters in Amman, with the possibility for remote consultancy in the fields of UNRWA operations. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 or its equivalent in USD for each fully completed month. The duration of the contract is seven months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. It is important to note that the United Nations does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, including application, interview, processing, or training.
