Job Overview:
The Safe Migration Hotline Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the IOM Safe Migration Hotline, which provides essential information and legal consultations to migrants. This position involves managing the Hotline's daily activities, ensuring that accurate information is available to migrants, and providing expert support to Hotline operators. The Coordinator will also be responsible for developing strategies and protocols for the Hotline, promoting its services through various channels, and conducting training sessions for Hotline staff. The role requires a strong understanding of migration issues and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the Hotline's services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will be responsible for providing consultations to migrants via various platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram. They will prepare a detailed work plan for the Hotline's operation, oversee daily activities, and ensure that information is regularly updated. Monitoring the quality of consultations and the registration of callers will be essential, as will providing expert support in complex cases. The Coordinator will also develop a Safe Migration Hotline Strategy, coordinate activities with the Migration Service, and promote the Hotline through social media and other channels. Additionally, they will conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of Hotline consultants and operators, collect and analyze statistical data related to the Hotline's operations, and provide regular reports on achievements and challenges.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree in law or a relevant field from a recognized institution. They should have at least 7 years of professional experience in providing Hotline consultations or conducting informational activities related to safe migration. A strong knowledge of migration legislation and policies relevant to Tajik migrants is essential, along with experience in conducting pre-departure orientation sessions. Previous work experience in international organizations is considered an advantage, as is extensive knowledge of the labor migration context from Tajikistan. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a client-focused approach are critical for this role.

Educational Background:
The position requires a higher education degree in law or a related field from a recognized educational institution. This educational background is crucial for understanding the legal aspects of migration and providing accurate consultations to migrants.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in providing Hotline consultations and conducting informational activities on safe migration. This experience should include knowledge of migration legislation and policies relevant to Tajik migrants, as well as experience in conducting pre-departure orientation sessions and training for labor migrants. Work experience in international organizations is advantageous, as it provides insight into the global context of migration.

Languages:
Proficiency in Russian and Tajik languages is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English is considered an advantage, as it may facilitate communication with a broader range of stakeholders. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy will cover occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan, free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy. However, IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for non-occupational accidents and illnesses, and consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance.
