Job Overview:
The HIV Program Associate plays a crucial role in providing both programmatic and administrative support for the implementation of HIV project activities in Tajikistan. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including the planning, coordination, logistical organization, monitoring, and documentation of project activities such as trainings, meetings, workshops, field visits, and other program events. The associate will be responsible for supporting the monitoring of progress toward project objectives, activities, deliverables, and deadlines. This includes collecting and organizing information for project reporting, maintaining project documentation and files, and following up with staff, partners, consultants, and other stakeholders on assigned actions and deliverables. Regular communication with FHI 360 staff, government counterparts, community-based organizations, consultants, trainers, and other project stakeholders is essential to ensure the smooth execution of project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HIV Program Associate will be tasked with a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include: providing programmatic and administrative support for the planning, coordination, and implementation of HIV project activities; coordinating logistical arrangements for project events; maintaining an updated tracker of planned and completed activities; supporting the monitoring of project activities against approved workplans; documenting and reporting on activity implementation and monitoring findings; collecting, reviewing, and organizing project information and supporting documentation; supporting travel and administrative arrangements related to project activities; providing logistical and technical support for project communications and meetings; participating in procurement selection committees; and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration, project management, or a related field. Additionally, at least 3 years of relevant experience supporting project or program implementation is required, preferably in an NGO, international development organization, public health program, or similar setting. Experience in organizing trainings, workshops, meetings, and field activities is preferred, along with experience in activity monitoring, documentation, reporting, or project coordination. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines are essential. Candidates should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration, project management, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of public health programs and project management.

Experience:
The position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in supporting project or program implementation. This experience should ideally be in settings such as NGOs, international development organizations, or public health programs, where the candidate has gained practical knowledge and skills relevant to the role.

Languages:
Fluency in Tajik and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Russian is considered an advantage, as it may facilitate communication with a broader range of stakeholders in the region.

Additional Notes:
The position is open to Tajik nationals or individuals who have the legal authority to work in Tajikistan. The job entails travel requirements of approximately 10-15% within Tajikistan. The expected hiring salary range for this role is TTJS 121,429 to 170,000 for annual basic salary, with considerations for relevant experience and education.
