Job Overview: The Senior Data and Systems Control Associate will play a crucial role within the Process and Control Support Team (PCST) of the Finance Hub at the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC). This position is pivotal in ensuring the operational management and oversight of ERP system access controls and corporate financial master data processes. The successful candidate will act as the senior technical focal point, providing guidance and support to staff while ensuring the consistent application of established control frameworks and procedures. The role involves addressing complex system and data issues, coordinating with various stakeholders, and supporting the integrity and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security of global financial processes. The candidate will also be responsible for interpreting and translating complex functional requirements into standardized workflows, planning and overseeing user access requests, and maintaining financial master data accuracy and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Data and Systems Control Associate include overseeing the operational management of ERP system access controls, coordinating the implementation of updates to permission rules, and ensuring compliance with internal control requirements. The candidate will plan and lead organization-wide user access reviews, manage the maintenance of central financial master data, and support the testing and validation of modifications. Additionally, the role involves providing technical guidance to staff, managing the support ticketing system, analyzing system bottlenecks, and conducting performance reviews for direct reports. The candidate will also be responsible for regularly updating standard operating procedures and performing other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with five years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a High School diploma with seven years of relevant experience is acceptable. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is considered an advantage. Candidates should have sound knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and internal controls, as well as the ability to review system access and financial master data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Business Administration from an accredited academic institution. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. A High School diploma is acceptable if accompanied by extensive relevant experience, and a CPA certification is advantageous.
Experience: The position requires experience in ERP systems administration, access and role management, and financial master data management. Candidates should have a proven track record of applying internal controls and supporting data integrity within enterprise systems. Experience in coordinating complex operational workflows, providing technical guidance to colleagues, and supervising or guiding staff is essential. Familiarity with multiple business functions, including Finance, HR, Procurement, Project Management, and IT, is also advantageous.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus. Candidates should possess strong communication skills to effectively coordinate across functions and explain complex matters clearly.
Additional Notes: The position is based in Manila, Philippines, and the selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations. Recommended candidates will remain eligible for appointment in a similar position for a period of 24 months. The appointment is subject to medical fitness certification, residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
