Job Overview:
The Consultant – Facilitateur FNG position is crucial for addressing the persistent challenges of food security and nutrition in Haiti, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant and lactating women, and low-income households. The role involves supporting the World Food Programme's initiatives aimed at improving nutritional outcomes through targeted interventions, including malnutrition screening, nutritional supplementation, food education, and support for health and community systems. The consultant will play a key role in conducting a Fill the Nutrient Gap (FNG) analysis to identify barriers to adequate nutrition and guide the development of effective policies and programs. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Public Health and Population, to enhance national capacities and promote integrated approaches to combat malnutrition. The consultant will also be responsible for facilitating discussions and workshops to disseminate findings and recommendations, ensuring that the insights gained from the analysis are effectively communicated and utilized to improve access to nutritious food for the population.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Consultant – Facilitateur FNG include: supporting the collection and analysis of nutritional, economic, and food data; contributing to the identification of specific nutritional gaps among different population groups; participating in the development of practical recommendations to enhance access to nutritious food; serving as a focal point and liaison for external partners throughout the FNG process; collaborating with national and international partners involved in nutritional responses; organizing forums to discuss collected data and conduct in-depth analyses with universities and government entities; facilitating meetings among various stakeholders by communicating technical and operational meeting agendas; managing multi-stakeholder engagement with UN agencies, universities, the private sector, civil society, and NGOs to strengthen collaboration for the success of the FNG analysis; organizing a validation workshop in collaboration with WFP and the government to finalize the FNG analysis document for publication; and closely collaborating with headquarters to ensure technical assistance throughout the FNG process. The consultant is expected to deliver a final FNG analysis document ready for publication, organize and facilitate workshops and forums, and ensure effective coordination with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher university degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in nutrition, public health, or a related field is required, with experience in academia, government, international organizations, or NGOs being highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage processes involving multiple stakeholders and conduct documentary and data analyses. Experience working with Haitian government counterparts is preferred. A good understanding of the nutritional landscape in Haiti, as well as knowledge of national programs related to food security, nutrition, health, and social protection policies, is essential. The candidate must also exhibit the ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a higher university degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field. This advanced education is critical for understanding the complexities of nutrition and health issues, particularly in the context of Haiti's challenges with food security and malnutrition.

Experience:
The position requires at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, or a related field. This experience should encompass work in academic settings, government agencies, international organizations, or NGOs, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the field and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments effectively.

Languages:
Proficiency in French and English is mandatory, with a mastery level (C) required for both languages. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and community members.
