Job Overview: The Young Professionals Program (YPP) at the World Bank Group is designed for exceptional professionals who are eager to contribute to global development challenges. Duties and Responsibilities: As a Young Professional, you will be responsible for assessing the financial viability of urban infrastructure projects, including municipal utilities and public-private partnerships. You will design structured finance solutions tailored to specific project contexts, advise on risk allocation frameworks, and provide technical inputs on the deployment of WBG financing instruments. Your role will also involve conducting analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis for sectors such as solid waste management, urban water supply, land development, and housing finance. You will build and review financial models, conduct due diligence, and prepare technical notes and policy briefs for client governments and municipalities. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous. The ideal candidate should have 2-6 years of relevant experience in infrastructure finance, project finance, or structured finance, particularly within urban sectors. Experience with multilateral development banks or development finance institutions is highly desirable, as is familiarity with emerging markets and developing economies. Advanced financial modeling skills and a strong command of finance concepts are essential, along with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
Educational Background: The position requires a master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
