Job Overview: The AI & Emerging Technologies Architecture Consultant position is a critical role within the Technology & Data Assurance Division (TTD/TDA) of the IDB Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Bank's Enterprise AI capabilities. This involves designing reusable architecture patterns, evaluating emerging technologies, and developing technical standards that facilitate the implementation of secure and scalable AI solutions. The consultant will work closely with various teams, including Product Teams, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, Data Governance, Cloud Engineering, and Solution Architects, to ensure that AI adoption aligns with enterprise architecture principles and governance processes. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in AI, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise architecture, along with the ability to translate emerging technologies into reusable enterprise capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will report to the Enterprise Architecture Team Leader and will be responsible for several key activities. These include developing the Bank's AI reference architecture through reusable patterns and reference implementations, creating architecture decision records, and providing implementation guidance and roadmaps. The consultant will assess and accredit AI platforms and services, as well as emerging technologies such as Generative AI and orchestration frameworks. Additionally, the consultant will develop proof-of-concepts and technical prototypes to evaluate scalability and operational readiness. Collaboration with Product Teams and other stakeholders is essential to enable the implementation of enterprise AI capabilities. The consultant will also participate in Architecture Review Boards and promote Responsible AI governance and technology adoption.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, including expertise in Azure and applied AI. The ideal candidate should have experience across various domains such as Cloud & AI Platforms, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture. Additional expertise in designing enterprise solutions and cloud-native solution design using Azure and/or AWS is highly desirable. Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, production implementation of LLMs, and orchestration frameworks is also important.
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Analytics is mandatory for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the role.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in relevant fields, particularly in areas such as Cloud & AI Platforms, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture. This level of experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of AI implementation and enterprise architecture.
Languages: Proficiency in English is required, along with proficiency in one of the other official languages of the Bank, which include Spanish, French, or Portuguese. This multilingual capability is essential for effective communication within the diverse environment of the IDB Group.
Additional Notes: The position is classified as an international consultant role, with a full-time contract duration of 12 months, extendable up to 48 months based on eligibility.
