Job Overview:
The Young Professionals Program (YPP) at the World Bank Group is designed for exceptional professionals who are eager to contribute to global development challenges. This program offers a unique opportunity to work across various sectors within the World Bank, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). As a Young Professional, you will engage in a structured two-year program that includes three eight-month rotations, allowing you to gain diverse experiences and deepen your expertise. The program emphasizes leadership development, technical training, and cross-institutional collaboration, preparing you for future leadership roles in global development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Young Professional, your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues across different disciplines to address pressing development challenges. You will participate in three rotations, which will involve working in your primary area of expertise, engaging in cross-institutional projects, and gaining field experience in a country office. You will also be involved in the YP Academy, where you will receive training in technical and operational skills, language programs, negotiation, business skills, and leadership development. Additionally, you will contribute to the Digital and AI Vertical, supporting client countries in enhancing their digital capabilities and implementing effective digital solutions. Your role will require strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics, public policy, international development, or a related discipline. Additionally, 2-6 years of relevant professional experience is required, with a focus on digital access, public infrastructure, data and AI, and digital transformation across sectors. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with digital technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market trends is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Master’s degree in a field related to the role, such as economics, public policy, international development, or a similar discipline. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in analytical thinking, policy analysis, and technical expertise relevant to the challenges faced in global development.

Experience:
Candidates should have between 2 to 6 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should ideally include work in development organizations, with a focus on digital connectivity, public infrastructure, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives. Experience in conducting assessments and providing advisory services in these areas will be advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage, as it may enhance communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across different regions.
